On September 6, 2023, the official notification for the SBI PO Recruitment 2023 was formally unveiled by the State Bank of India (SBI). The registration process for Probationary Officer (PO) positions will commence on September 7, 2023, and will conclude on September 27, 2023.
The aim of this recruitment campaign is to fill 2000 PO vacancies within the organization. The preliminary test for these roles is set to take place in November of 2023.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the PO position, candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in any subject from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the central government. Individuals in their final year/semester of graduation can also apply, provided they can provide proof of completing their Bachelor’s degree by December 31, 2023. Additionally, candidates should be between 21 and 30 years of age as of April 1, 2023.
Selection Process
The evaluation procedure involves an initial test followed by a subsequent main examination. Candidates who clear the main examination will be eligible for a Psychometric Test, Group Exercise, and Interview.
The scores achieved in the preliminary test (Phase-I) will not factor into the ultimate selection. Only the marks obtained in the main examination (Phase-II), which includes both the objective and descriptive tests, as well as the marks in the Group Discussion and Interview (Phase-III), will be combined to create the final eligibility list.
Candidates will need to qualify separately in Phase-II and Phase-III. The final merit list will be determined by adding the scores of the written examination, Group Discussion, and Interview.
Application Fees
The application fee for General/EWS/OBC candidates is ₹750, while SC/ST/PwBD candidates are exempt from paying any application fee. Once the application fee is paid, it will not be refunded to any account, nor can it be reserved for any other examination or selection process.
